Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities across an assigned geography, executing marketing strategies to support a successful product launch and meaningful patient impact.

The SAM will act as a disease-state expert, product champion and account specialist, providing account management, assessing stakeholders, and monitoring market trends to optimize performance in LTC facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Demonstrated Top 10% or Elite/President’s Club performance.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and achieving business goals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under accelerated timelines.
• Strong digital marketing aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive LTC product adoption in facilities.
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Call on LTC Care teams and build relationships across the LTC ecosystem.
• Develop a territory business plan with targeted facilities and goals.
• Promote labeling within regulatory guidelines.
• Understand payer policies and processes for access and reimbursement.
• Navigate market access and patient assistance programs.
• Maximize use of marketing resources to grow prescribing confidence.
• Communicate territory activity to management.
• Provide feedback to sales, marketing and other departments.
• Complete training and administrative duties in a timely manner.
• Manage promotional budget and collaborate across functions.
• Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
