Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities within an assigned geography.

The SAM will be a disease-state expert and account specialist, delivering product adoption and building deep relationships across LTC facilities and care teams. Responsibilities include developing territory business plans, navigating payer policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing differential resources to achieve business goals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under accelerated timelines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong digital marketing aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities.
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Effectively call on LTC Care teams, building relationships across the LTC ecosystem.
• Develop a comprehensive territory business plan inclusive of account plans for targeted LTC facilities aimed at achieving and exceeding quarterly & annual goals.
• Promote within our approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner that is consistent with guidelines.
• Navigate payer policies and processes (eligibility, prior-authorization, appeals/denials).
• Understand payer requirements, pharmacy fulfillment processes, patient access programs, and reimbursement tools.
