Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics in Stamford, CT seeks a field-based Long-Term Care Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC product adoption and manage key accounts within the assigned geography.

The SAM will act as a disease state expert and product champion, building relationships with psychiatrists, neurologists, nurses and care staff, while delivering territory plans and navigating payer policies to ensure patient access and successful launches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including LTC or account-based selling
• Proven top performance (Top 10% or Elite/President’s Club)
• Launch experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel overnight and within geography

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements
• Develop comprehensive territory business plans and account plans for LTC facilities
• Promote products ethically within labeling and regulatory guidelines
• Build strong customer relationships across LTC ecosystem including psychiatrists, neurologists, nurses, case managers
• Navigate payer policies, prior-authorization, and patient access programs
• Communicate territory activity and provide feedback to leadership
• Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed
• Manage promotional budget and collaborate across functions
