Job summary

Genworth’s Long Term Care Actuarial Model Governance and Controllership team seeks a seasoned actuary to oversee LTC models, data, and controls for compliance with standards. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent processes and strong governance across valuation, projections, and experience analysis.

You will be responsible for peer reviews, documentation, and expansion of oversight to new teams and products, fostering accountability and quality in model

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, and/or related major.
• FSA designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably LTC insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the LTC control environment across teams.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for key high-risk processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on administration system data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model and process documentation to increase transparency and accessibility.
• Provide governance peer review support for LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Expand governance and controllership oversight to include emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and provide guidance on governance processes.
