MediLodge of Sterling Heights is seeking a Unit Manager/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to direct the nursing unit in a long-term care facility. The role focuses on leadership, quality resident care, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing, degree preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required where state law permits.
• Three years of nursing experience, including long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs General Management Functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
• Plans and facilitates meetings to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manages area of responsibility to achieve high quality care.
• Develops, implements and evaluates staff education programs.
• Coordinates physician interactions and ensures timely interventions.
• Monitors staffing and census to meet resident needs and budget constraints.
• Oversees medication, supplies and medical records for safe care.
• Mentors new personnel and participates in QA programs.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
