Job summary

MediLodge of Gaylord is seeking a Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor (LPN) to lead the nursing unit in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes leadership, staffing, and delivering high-quality resident care.

Candidates should have an accredited nursing degree with LPN/LVN (or RN if required), at least three years of nursing experience including LTC, and strong communication and regulatory knowledge. We offer competitive wages and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing, degree preferred.
• RN license (if state requires) or LPN/LVN license in state employed.
• Three years of nursing experience, with at least one year in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the nursing unit: oversee staffing, hiring, disciplining, and evaluating staff.
• Plan and facilitate meetings or committees to address resident care issues.
• Ensure high quality care while meeting budgetary and regulatory requirements.
• Support recruitment, retention, development, and continuing education of nursing staff.
• Coordinate physician contacts and timely interventions as needed.
• Monitor staffing patterns, census, and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Oversee medications, supplies, and medical records for residents.
