Job summary

MediLodge of GTC is seeking an Unit Manager Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee the nursing unit operations in a long-term care facility. You will direct staff, manage care coordination, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of nursing experience, including long-term care, with LPN licensure and CPR if required. Join a team focused on patient-centered care and staff development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of nursing experience, including long-term care.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (degree preferred).
• LPN licensure (state requirements apply) and CPR certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs general management functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
• Plans and facilitates meetings and committees to address resident care issues for the unit.
• Manages area of responsibility to achieve high quality care.
• Develops, implements and evaluates programs for recruitment, retention, development and ongoing education of nursing staff.
• Contacts physicians as necessary to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
• Reviews staffing patterns and census, reassigns personnel to meet resident needs and budgetary controls.
• Monitors clinical operations and ensures safe, quality care for residents.
• Obtains medications, supplies and records needed for care.
• Assists in orientation of new personnel; supports staff with procedures.
• Participates in facility QA program.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
