Job summary

MediLodge of Gaylord is seeking a Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor (LPN) to direct the nursing unit in a long-term care setting. You will oversee staffing, meet regulatory requirements, and lead QA initiatives to continuously improve care outcomes.

The role requires a nursing degree and active RN/LPN/LVN license, CPR if applicable, and a minimum of three years of nursing experience including long-term care. Join a supportive team with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited school of nursing; degree preferred.
Licensed as RN/LPN/LVN in state employed; CPR teaching certificate if applicable.

Responsibilities

Hire, discipline, and evaluate staff.
Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues for the unit.
Manage staffing and budget to achieve high quality care.
Develop and evaluate programs for recruitment, retention, and education of nursing staff.
Coordinate physician interventions and ensure timely responses.
Review staffing patterns and census and reassign personnel as needed.
Monitor unit operations and ensure safe, quality care for residents.
Obtain medications, supplies, and records needed for safe care.
Assist in orientation of new personnel and supervise procedures.
Participate in QA programs and perform related tasks.
