Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN to join the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. This role includes medication administration, IV therapy, and assisting with care plans under RN supervision, in a high-acuity surgical unit.

You will work with a team to support bariatric and trauma patients, ensure patient safety, and reinforce discharge instructions. Illinois licensure and BLS are required, with the potential for growth within Carle Health.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for Illinois.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• College diploma with LPN credential required; >1 year of LPN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications and administer IV piggybacks per protocol.
• Chart assessments after RN initial assessment and assist with care plans.
• Perform trach care and manage NG tube care and feedings.
• Reinforce discharge instructions and coordinate with physicians/APPs.
