Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. The role includes medication administration, IV therapies, and collaboration with RNs to manage high-acuity surgical patients.

You will participate in care planning, patient education, and discharge instructions while maintaining safety in a busy unit. The unit emphasizes teamwork with surgical residents and staff, ongoing education, and a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• LPN with 1+ year experience on a surgical unit.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and IV piggybacks per protocol.
• Chart assessments and care plans after RN initial assessment.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and care coordination.
• Provide trach, NG tube, ostomy care and patient education as needed.
