Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. You will administer medications, manage IV piggybacks, and support RN activities for high-acuity surgical patients in a 43-bed unit.

The role requires an Illinois-licensed LPN with >1 year of experience, strong teamwork, and ability to coordinate with surgeons and APPs. A $2,500 sign-on bonus applies to external applicants with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• LPN with >1 year of experience.
• Current LPN license in good standing.
• Ability to perform basic med administration and care planning under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications and hangs IV piggybacks/fluids.
• Charting assessments and care plans after RN initial assessment.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and dressings.
• Perform trach care and NG tube care as needed.
• Reinforce discharge instructions and patient education.
