Job summary

State of North Carolina - Department of Transportation is seeking a Program Coordinator III (S) to supervise License Plate Agencies (LPAs) across the state. The role involves overseeing LPA operations, addressing customer complaints, and enforcing SOPs and contract provisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience in interpreting and explaining policy, rules, regulations, and laws to diverse clientele with excellent communication.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload independently; resolve issues promptly.
Knowledge of Chapter 20 and motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervise License Plate Agencies (LPAs) throughout North Carolina.
Assist in oversight of LPA operations and investigate customer complaints.
Counsel LPAs regarding errors, SOPs, and contract violations; assist with investigations.
Represent the Division with regards subpoenas for court testimony as required.
