Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee License Plate Agencies (LPAs) statewide. You will supervise operations, investigate complaints, and counsel LPAs on SOPs and contract provisions.

Travel may be required to inspect sites and resolve issues. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination, and has knowledge of Chapter 20 and motor vehicle laws.

This position will assist in the oversight of the operations of LPAs, investigate customer complaints, and counsel LPAs regarding errors and SOP and contract violations. The position assists with LPA investigations and represents the Division with regards subpoenas for court testimony as required. Work involves responsibility for analyzing and solving problems as they relate to License Plate Agency contracts, title and registrations laws, policies and procedures, and frequent public contacts in handling matters associated with those programs. Must have the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload independently and resolve issues in a timely manner. Work is performed under general supervision and is subject to review and evaluation through conferences, personal interactions, and written reports. This position will require occasional overnight travel.
