Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, with a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay.

Benefits include a tool allowance, company vehicle and cell phone, competitive benefits, and ongoing training. Travel may be required to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong math skills including basic algebra and geometry.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
• Must obtain required licenses/certifications for security work as per state rules.
• Travel as needed and willingness to travel to sites.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installations.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly per specifications.
• Use multimeters and perform circuit analysis; connect devices to panels.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Demonstrate to customer how the system works.
• Complete proper paperwork daily and submit to appropriate departments.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers, and Central Monitoring Station.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
