Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is hiring a Low Voltage Technician to install, service and test electronic security systems, including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 based on experience, with a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay. Travel may be required, and a tool allowance, company vehicle and cell phone are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mathematical skills including calculation of interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume, plus basic algebra and geometry.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation of alarm systems.
• Ability to read and follow electrical diagrams and installation instructions.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all installed systems function according to manufacturer specifications.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain to customers how the installed alarm works and provide basic training.
