Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is looking for a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will work with burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control devices, ensuring proper operation and compliance with codes.

The position offers a wage range from $20 to $35 per hour based on experience, plus an incentive program and benefits. Travel, training, and ongoing certification support are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in security.
• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Mathematical skills for calculating figures and basic algebra/geometry.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe installation.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify all installed systems and devices function properly per specs.
• Use multimeters to read volts and OHM, connect devices to panels.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate how the alarm system works to customers.
• Complete proper paperwork daily and submit to the appropriate department.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Central Monitoring Station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
