Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Wisconsin is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings. The role includes wiring alarm panels, testing devices and explaining system operation to customers.

The position offers pay from $20 to $35 per hour based on experience, plus a monthly incentive program up to 10% of annual pay, along with tools allowance, company vehicle and cell phone, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; able to travel as needed.
• Math skills including calculations of interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Must be able to obtain licenses/certifications per state regulations.
• Valid driver's license and pass background/drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis; hook up devices to panel mountings.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate how the installed alarm system works to customers.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Central Monitoring Station.
