Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour, with a monthly incentive program up to 10% of annual pay.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to submit to background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry as required by state regulations.
• High School Diploma or GED required for all Per Mar Security Services positions.
• Must be able to travel as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including basic algebra and geometry and ability to calculate figures.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation of alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly per manufacturers' specifications.
• Use multimeters for voltage and OHM readings and circuit analysis; hook up devices to specified panel mountings.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers, and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
