Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The role covers burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

The starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour based on experience, plus a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of annual pay.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license and submit to pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to state regulations.
High School Graduate or GED is required for all Per Mar Security Services positions.
Must be able to travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

Install and wire alarm system devices.
Test and verify that all systems function properly per manufacturer's specifications.
Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis.
Hook up RJ31X to panel mountings (motion detectors, keypads, controls).
Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
Explain to customers how the installed alarm system works.
Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
Communicate with clients, co-workers and Central Monitoring Station.
All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
