Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of cocktails and spirits as well as a good knowledge of wines, have creativity and flair, and are able to evidence good business acumen, a strong work ethic and people-management skills.
  • Applicants are required to have 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in a luxury setting
  • Must have prior Mixologist and/or Sommelier experience
  • The Beverage Manager should have a well-developed interest in food and wines; has undergone professional training in food and wine knowledge
  • A college degree preferably specializing in Food & Beverage Management or equivalent experience is required
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of bar and Beverage departmental strategies and concepts
  • Ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives in collaboration with Marketing & PR
  • Ensuring the beverage operations in restaurants and bars meet the brand's target customer needs ensures employee satisfaction focuses on growing revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the departments.
  • Delivering products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer and property employees and provides a return on investment.
  • Inspect grooming and attire of staff and rectify any deficiencies
  • Communicate with guests, other employees, and/or departments to ensure guest needs are met
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests
  • Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
  • Complete scheduled inventories of supplies, food, and liquor
  • Check stock and requisition necessary supplies
  • Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and always keeping bank secure
  • Communicate last call at designated closing time
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
  • This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
Skills/Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Two to three years previous experience in supervisory or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
  • This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage.
  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.
  • Ability to work well in a busy/demanding environment
  • Requires knowledge and the ability to operate computer equipment and POS system.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Second language is preferred.
  • TIP Certified preferred.
