Job summary

Gravitas Wine Marketing seeks an accomplished Sales Representative to manage and grow the Los Angeles territory, from Glendale through West Hollywood, cultivating relationships with buyers and key accounts. You will conduct sales calls, target wine list placements, and lead staff education events to advance the portfolio.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of outside wine sales, broad wine knowledge, and the ability to lift production cases.

Qualifications

• Experience in outside wine sales – 3 years minimum.
• Proven ability to sell to independent retailers and on-premise accounts.
• Broad wine knowledge across French, Italian, and Southern Hemisphere regions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage buyer relationships at all accounts throughout territory.
• Regularly conduct sales calls upon existing and potential customers within the assigned territory.
• Increase sales and revenue by targeting wine list and retail placements in each account.
• Meet new account goals through cold calling and lead follow-up.
• Recognize sales opportunities, challenges, and corresponding solutions.
• Conduct staff education events and distribute educational materials in support of the portfolio.
• Execute and support supplier and company work-withs, tasting events, and promotions.
• Actively participate in monthly sales meetings, individual goal reviews, and education.
