Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is hiring a Transportation Supervisor to support the transportation manager and oversee delivery and backhaul activities at our Pennsauken, NJ location. You will train staff, enforce safety and food safety standards, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will monitor daily operations, coordinate with warehouses and customer service, and drive efficiency while maintaining quality service for our customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred in business/related field.
• 2–4 years of transportation experience or training.
• Class A CDL and DOT regulations training are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation associates and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Manage labor hours and supplies within budget; prepare work schedules; train new associates.
• Coordinate use of company assets, arrange repairs, and monitor productivity reporting.
• Communicate with warehouse and customer service to resolve delivery issues; meet with customers as needed.
• Lead safety training, perform observations, and investigate accidents to determine root causes.
