Job summary

CEVA Logistics seeks a Transportation and Customs Coordinator to oversee transport and customs processes, ensuring compliant shipment documentation for imported and exported goods under federal and foreign regulations.

You will lead the team, supervise daily activities, train staff, and maintain a service-focused culture while coordinating with operations and clients to resolve issues and improve performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; four years related experience.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Supervise and control all departmental activities; assist in staff and customer training; conduct staff meetings and address performance issues per policies.
• Review shipment documentation for accuracy; examine invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements for regulatory compliance.
• Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume; liaise with customs to obtain release of freight and resolve delays.
• Establish and monitor policies and service standards for customs clearance operations.
• Identify areas of concern in import/export processes through team performance audits and client reviews.
• Coordinate with operations management on progress and issues; maintain flexible work hours including after-hours rotation.
• Participate in or supervise department projects within assigned area.
