Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Logistics Supervisor (Mid Shift) to oversee transportation and customs processes, and to provide customer service for shipment documentation and intake of imported/exported goods. The position supports a Monday–Friday 11:00am–7:00pm schedule with emphasis on process improvement, staff training, and ensuring compliance with federal and foreign regulations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with four years related experience; one year supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping; some professional certifications may be required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job-specific software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise logistics activities including transportation and customs processes.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Review shipment documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, and communicate with customs officials as needed.
• Identify areas of concern in import/export processes through monitoring team performance and audits.
