Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED plus 4+ years in logistics; 1 year supervisory exp. Bachelor’s preferred.
• Credentials: ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat regs and recordkeeping; certs may be required.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based apps and job-specific software.
• Characteristics: Able to allocate work, analyze problems, present solutions, read and write reports and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Provide supervision and control for all departmental activities; assist in retention and training; lead staff meetings.
• Oversee performance statistics; review shipment docs for accuracy; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume for imports/exports; liaise with customs.
• Establish and revise policies and service standards for customs clearance; ensure consistent administration.
• Identify areas of concern in client import/export processes via monitoring team performance and audits.
• Communicate with operations manager about progress; maintain flexible schedule including after-hours on-call.
• Participate in department projects related to area of responsibility.
