ICAT Logistics in Auburn, WA is seeking an Operations Agent to energize client experience through shipment processing, quote rating, vendor decisions, and invoicing within ICAT policy. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, and drive margin improvement.

Key tasks include scheduling, carrier space booking, rate negotiation, documentation, and timely tracking. The role demands analytical decision-making and strong collaboration with clients and vendors.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of transportation and/or freight forwarding experience.
• Working knowledge of spot quotes, routing LTL/TL, and expedited ground services.
• Knowledge of NMFC and density rating.
• Hands-on ability with rating and routing freight.
• Understanding of major carriers including Canada and Mexico.
• Proven track record building relationships with customers and vendors.
• For Government clients: advanced knowledge of operating government freight and USTRANSCOM experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of FMC, IMCO, ITA, TSA, C-TPAT, HAZMAT, US Customs CBP.
• International regulations and compliance for air/ocean freight.

• Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments for transportation throughout the U.S.
• Oversee shipment lifecycle management ensuring accuracy and effective exception handling.
• Schedule and arrange pickups and deliveries.
• Book space with carriers and negotiate rates at the file level.
• Coordinate and complete documentation between clients, vendors, forwarders, and brokers.
• Prepare shipments for turnover to tracking and prepare quotations for ICAT clients.
• Track and trace freight and provide ETAs and verify piece counts.
• Maintain active updates in the TMS and record service/vendor issues.
