Job summary

ICAT Logistics is seeking an Export Operations Agent to handle air and ocean shipments, coordinate schedules, route orders, and secure carrier space. The role involves quoting, vendor decisions, invoicing, and maintaining SOPs for client satisfaction.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years in air/ocean export logistics, with strong negotiation, communication, and multitasking abilities to support domestic and international shipments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ Years of transportation and/or freight forwarding experience specifically in air/ocean export.
• Working knowledge of spot quotes, LTL, TL, and expedited ground services.
• Knowledge of the NMFC and density rating.
• Hands-on ability with rating and routing freight.
• Understanding of major carriers, including those who serve Canada and Mexico.
• Proven track record of building relationships with customers and vendors.
• Proven analytic and problem‑solving skills in a logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments for transportation throughout the U.S.
• Complete day-to-day coordination, execution, and tracking of shipments
• Book space with carriers and negotiate rates with trucking companies and brokers
• Coordinate documentation between clients, vendors, forwarders, and brokers
• Prepare quotations for ICAT clients and track/trace freight
