Job summary

Carvana is seeking a senior operations leader for its Hutchins, TX logistics field operation. You will oversee daily transportation needs, coordinate site goals, and mentor teams to achieve safety and performance targets.

You will drive route evaluations, collaborate with planning to resolve issues, and manage inventory flow with shift allocation. This role requires experience in logistics, people leadership, and CDL driver oversight, with a focus on safety and cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with DOT regulations and compliance.
• Proven track record in leading teams and developing staff.
• 3+ years in logistics or supply chain roles.
• Preference for Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Loader certification and Carvana training required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations needs at assigned locations in coordination with other site leaders.
• Participate in the development of site specific goals and objectives, and ensure alignment and effective execution within the site.
• Review and evaluate daily route schedules and address issues with Logistics Operations Planning and Scheduling.
• Providing mentoring and accountability to, direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management.
• Ensure work areas meet or exceed applicable workplace safety standards, including yard cleanliness and GEMBA walks.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with internal teams.
• As needed, coordinate and monitor the movement of inventory on the ground through the warehouse workflow; evaluate and distribute work and assigned shifts to meet business needs.
