Job summary

Interstate Group is seeking a Logistics Business Development Manager in Sterling, VA. The role focuses on leading capture and pipeline development, managing end-to-end proposal responses, and coordinating with moving, relocation and logistics leaders to drive growth across multiple business lines.

The ideal candidate identifies opportunities from RFPs and procurement sources, develops solution presentations, and collaborates with executive stakeholders to present compelling proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading development of marketing communications material, proposals or grants.
• Proven strong project management, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Experience performing market and competitive analyses, using statistical and data analytics tools.
• Experience working in international/cross-cultural environments is highly desirable.
• Business development experience (presenting proposals and negotiating with clients).

Responsibilities

• Manage the full life cycle of the proposal response process from identification to submission.
• Research and monitor industry publications and sources for new opportunities in moving, relocation and logistics.
• Form and manage proposal response teams and coach team members as needed.
• Review cross-functional team work for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist capture team with identifying service providers and contractors.
• Lead or participate in team-selling presentations to clients.
• Register opportunities in CRM and report on wins/losses and decisions.
• Create and maintain a company-wide proposal library and collateral.
• Develop engaging BD content aligned with brand guidelines.
• Perform market/competitive analyses to identify opportunities and address them with action plans.
