Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Customer Logistics Manager to provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers. The role focuses on planning, forecasting and performance analysis within a major logistics and supply chain environment.

The position requires strong communication, problem solving, and leadership abilities, with collaboration across operations, sales and rental segments.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. advanced required
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. advanced required
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components. intermediate required
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries for re-class revenue/expenses; variance explanations vs forecast/plan; GL research for billing opportunities.
• Collaborate with DOO, DOS and DOR to identify cost/productivity improvements.
• Forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies and tools.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through branch audits as needed.
• Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
