Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Customer Logistics Manager to provide financial and analytical support to senior management and logistics leaders. The role focuses on month-end close, forecasting, cost control and performance analysis across a multi-site operation.

You will train business unit staff on financial tools, ensure Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and act as a liaison with Shared Services and Corporate Accounting to drive continuous improvement and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED is not applicable here; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required.
• Advanced logistics industry knowledge.
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing activities including journal entries to re-class revenue/expenses and variance explanations.
• Identify opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with DOO/DOS/DOR.
• Forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies and tools.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through branch audits as needed.
• Serve as liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
• Perform additional duties with tracking/reporting and recommendations.
