Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to senior management, group logistics managers, and logistics staff.

This role will interact across functions to drive performance and ensure accuracy of reporting. The position includes month-end closing, forecasting, training, SOX compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with Shared Services and Corporate Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Related field, Required
• Master's Degree in MBA, Preferred
• Two (2) years to Four (4) years or more in Experience in a corporate Finance Department within a Fortune 500 Company or consulting firm, Required
• 5 years or more in Post MBA, Preferred
• Must be proficient with computers to include MS Office Intermediate, Required

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries to re-class revenue/expenses; variance explanations vs. forecast/annual plan; GL research to capture billing opportunities
• Operational Initiatives: cost/productivity improvements with DOO/DOS/DOR
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis
• Training: financial training to Business Unit staff, policies, procedures and financial tools
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: branch audits as needed
• Corporate: liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting
