Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Knowledge of customer care, OS&D, billing, tracing and dispatching.
• Computer skills: MS Word and Excel; AS400 experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Ability to solve problems with minimal guidance and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create freight manifest lists with applicable coding.
• Assist dispatcher with assigning pick-up and delivery drivers.
• Assist with maintaining city dispatch sheets and advising drivers on issues.
• Coordinate Line Haul drivers via computer and phone with service centers.
• Track, trace and bill freight; plan dispatches to meet cost/service goals.
• Maintain records and report OS&D freight issues daily/weekly.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff as needed.
• Respond to questions and work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment.
