Job summary

Saia Inc. is seeking an organized Clerk/Customer Service Assistant to support terminal operations in Indiana. You will manage documentation, respond to inquiries, and assist with daily process flows to ensure accurate shipments and timely service.

This role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced logistics environment. On-site work with regular computer and phone use, with potential overtime during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Read, write, communicate and comprehend English to perform tasks and complete documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, print, scan and organize documentation for terminal operations and dispatch.
• Maintain filing and recordkeeping for shipments and terminal records.
• Distribute paperwork for outbound shipments with operations staff.
• Review outbound load paperwork for accuracy before dispatch.
• Handle inbound calls and emails to resolve issues and enhance customer experience.
• Arrange dock pickups and dock drops with operations staff.
• Assist internal and external drivers for the line haul department.
• Identify issues and escalate to prevent delays; assist with admin tasks.
