J.B. Hunt in Lowell, Arkansas is seeking a Logistics Claims Manager to investigate, file, and resolve cargo, inventory, and related logistics claims with a focus on favorable settlement outcomes.

Competenze

• High school diploma/GED with 4-5 years of experience in claims, transportation/logistics, warehouse operations, insurance, relevant field, and/or military equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arkansas, New York, and California Adjuster’s License (Property and Casualty).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Risk Management, or related field.
• Experience managing both transportation and warehouse/cold storage claims.
• Demonstrated settlement negotiation experience and ability to mitigate risk.

• Investigate and manage complex cargo, warehouse, cold storage, inventory spoilage, and related logistics claims for the customer; determine claim validity, liability exposure, and recovery potential; manage intake, investigation, negotiation, and resolution.
• Act as the customer’s advocate, holding internal teams and external parties accountable to contractual obligations and financial responsibilities throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Analyze bills of lading, delivery receipts, insurance policies, contracts, and warehouse agreements to validate claims and ensure compliance; partner with operations on real-time events to identify potential claims.
• Collect and synthesize data from internal departments and third parties to determine cause, liability, and damages, and pursue subrogation when appropriate; negotiate, settle, and resolve claims.
• Manage investigation and recovery efforts with carriers, facilities, insurers, and counsel to ensure timely reporting, policy compliance, and efficient closure.
• Handle all monetary aspects of claims through reserve establishment, exposure tracking, settlement payments, and documentation; inform leadership of significant exposures.
• Manage settlement and disposition decisions (salvage, destruction, donation, return) with parties per agreements and recovery strategies.
• Maintain audit-ready claim files and communicate status, exposures, findings, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Identify trends to drive root-cause analysis and mitigation; communicate insights to prevent recurrence.
• Use strong communication to explain processes and decisions to internal/external parties and to meet business needs.
• Minimize legal/financial risk by engaging counsel when needed and assigning matters for complex/high exposure cases.
