Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to promote safety metrics, manage driver performance, and ensure on-time service using strong leadership and data-driven decisions.

You will coordinate with drivers, plan loads, and ensure DOT regulatory compliance while collaborating with other departments to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. This on-site role emphasizes process discipline and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage driver performance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety metrics and KPIs for service pickup, deadhead, and weekly assignments.
• Supervise driver performance to balance business and driver needs.
• Coach drivers using High Performance Coaching to meet performance expectations.
• Ensure high levels of service through proactive communication and relationship building.
• Plan driver loads based on availability and coordinate with Safety for drug screens and renewals.
• Collaborate with other departments; perform yard duties as needed.
