Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a capable Operations Supervisor to supervise and develop drivers for assigned accounts, resolve customer service issues, and ensure shipments meet customers’ needs.

This role emphasizes safety, performance coaching, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of operations experience in transportation or logistics, with DOT knowledge and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
• 3+ years Operations experience including Customer Service, Fleet Management, or Load Planning preferred.
• Transportation, logistics, and/or supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop all drivers for assigned accounts.
• Address customer service issues or complaints.
• Coordinate shipments to meet the customer’s needs and demands.
• Provide coaching and feedback to drivers to improve performance.
• Promote safety metrics and KPI tracking related to service metrics.
• Collaborate with other departments and support yard operations.
