Job summary

Intuit Careers is seeking TurboTax Local Service Experts to work on-site at TurboTax locations across the United States, delivering hands-on tax preparation and expert guidance to clients during in-person and virtual sessions.

You will grow the local TurboTax client base, collaborate with other specialists, and guide customers through complex tax scenarios while following training and service standards. This role emphasizes community engagement and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including compliance training, up-skilling, cross-training of other products, and professional development.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms and use your name for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content for your community.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Be a proactive community ambassador, driving local growth and building long-term client relationships.
• Champion the full Intuit ecosystem by connecting clients with bookkeeping, payroll, or financial planning services.
• Build relationships by understanding clients' complete financial picture and needs.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience across in-person and virtual interactions.
