Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Security Officer for Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas. The role follows a 1 week on / 1 week off rotation and may require on-call work outside normal hours. Training: ten consecutive days in Kotzebue with lodging and transportation provided for new hires.

Responsibilities include monitoring areas, ensuring safety, de-escalation, reporting incidents, and assisting with events and emergencies to protect people and property.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Personally, monitors areas by working in roving or stationary assignments.
• Ensures safety and compliance at all times.
• De-escalates situations to protect staff and customers.
• Inspects doors, windows, and other security points to ensure they are secure.
• Reports incidents and data according to company policies.
• Assists in events setup and clinic functions.
• Responds to emergencies and disasters to preserve life and property.
