Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative in the Baltimore area to build relationships, prospect new customers, and identify value-driven packaging solutions. You will work with branches and corporate teams to meet customer needs, while managing a defined territory and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

The role requires 3+ years in packaging sales, excellent communication, and the ability to travel locally as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated sales experience within the packaging and container industries is highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong demonstrated track record.
• Experience with Salesforce; MS Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to travel locally for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate persistence and overcome obstacles; measure self against standard of excellence; take calculated risks to accomplish goals.
• Be driven, and responsible for your actions; maintain commitments and follow up with prospects and clients.
• Architect and articulate packaging solutions delivered through our distribution model and plan strategic development of core client base.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of key customers and targets.
• Identify cost savings opportunities for customers and use resources to build solutions and document successes.
• Establish sales budget, strategies and tactical plans by product line, customer, and market.
