Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation in Monroe, LA, is hiring for a Class A CDL truck driver. You will securely load, deliver freight, and handle returns while maintaining DOT compliance and safety.

You’ll work daytime shifts with pay bonuses, sign-on incentives, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Home nightly and weekends are common with this role.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe driving record and ability to secure loads.
• Ability to operate in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.
