Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Class A CDL truck driver to join our team. You will deliver freight with flatbed or curtain-side trailers and secure loads with straps.

Enjoy home daily, first shift hours, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, PTO, and tuition reimbursement. Starting pay is $33.75 per hour with consistent work and a supportive driver community.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Safe driving record with no major incidents in last 3 years.
• Ability to secure loads and operate in all weather conditions.
• Willing to perform DOT inspections and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads using straps, no tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and timely; handle product returns.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork.
• Interact professionally with customers and resolve issues.
• Maintain safety checks and complete DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
