Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Class A CDL driver in North Carolina. You will securely strap and deliver freight, manage PODs, and maintain accurate logbooks while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and have a safe driving record.
• At least 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to secure loads.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads and deliver freight without tarping.
• Deliver on time and handle customer product returns as required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork and logs.
• Interact professionally with customers and address issues.
• Perform daily safety checks and DOT inspections.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
