Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking CDL‑A drivers to join our team. You will deliver freight with flatbed and curtain side trailers, with no tarping, and be home every night and weekend to spend time with family.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least 21 years old, and 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the last 3 years, plus a safe driving record. We offer steady first shift hours and modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.
