Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. is seeking experienced truck drivers to deliver freight on a home-daily schedule in Illinois and surrounding areas. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least 3 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, and a safe driving record.

Starting pay is $27.94 per hour with first-shift hours and modern equipment. Responsibilities include securing loads, timely delivery, handling returns, and maintaining DOT logs and trip paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• 3+ years of verifiable tractor trailer experience.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads using straps, no tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and handle returns.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and address issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver:

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 3+ years of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
