Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation in Nashville is seeking qualified truck drivers with a valid Class A CDL to join our flatbed operations. You’ll be home every night and weekend, driving new equipment on first shift, with a focus on load security and customer service.

The role requires at least 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience, a safe driving record, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, PTO, and tuition

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
