Job summary

BlueLinx in Nashville, TN is seeking a Class A CDL driver to join our team. You’ll be home every night and weekend, and earn $29.51 per hour with first shift hours on flatbed and curtain side trailers (no tarping).

You’ll securely strap loads, ensure timely freight delivery, handle customer returns, and manage DOT-required paperwork. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and new equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
