Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a professional Truck Driver to securely load and transport freight. You will ensure loads are strapped rather than tarped, deliver goods accurately, and manage customer returns while keeping precise POD and log data.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, driving record in good standing, and at least 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience. Benefits include strong safety emphasis and regular home time.

• 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads (no tarping; use straps).
• Deliver freight accurately and handle returns as required.
• Process Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Communicate professionally with customers about issues.
• Maintain DOT inspection readiness and daily safety checks.
• Maintain electronic logbook and trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
