AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. in Hickory, NC is hiring full-time pick-up and delivery drivers to safely operate commercial motor vehicles and deliver freight on time and damage-free.

Requirements include a Class A CDL with HazMat and double/triple endorsements, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to read and follow DOT regulations. The role includes benefits and regular home time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years or older.
• CDL Class A with HazMat and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Flexible Hours.
• Ability to be certified as forklift operator.
• Familiar with proper procedures for hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock.
• Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of ladings and receipts.
• Maintain records required for state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook/unhook trailers and operate landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other work related duties as assigned.
