Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a full-time Pick-up and Delivery Driver to ensure on-time, damage-free freight delivery and to maintain strong customer relations. You will operate commercial vehicles safely, load/unload, and record shipments while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat endorsements, one year of driving experience, and the ability to pass DOT screenings. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and a 401k match, among others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years or older.
• Class A Interstate CDL with hazmat and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.
• Flexible Hours.
• Able to be certified as a forklift operator.
• Familiar with handling hazardous materials procedures.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Able to count and perform basic arithmetic up to 10,000s.
• Able to operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Working knowledge of all DOT regulations for the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock with or without assistance.
• Record shipment quantities using bills of lading and receipts.
• Maintain records to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors and manage landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safety compliance.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
